Privacy notice

You can use Polity without an account. If you create one, Polity stores:

• your name, email, country, account type and, if you give them, organisation and job role — never your political views;
• what you follow, save and submit (questions, issues, corrections, poll answers);
• your plan, invoices and payments. Card and UPI details are handled by the payment provider (Razorpay) and never reach Polity;
• basic usage events (for example, that a search happened) linked to your account, and a one-way hash of your session if you're not signed in. No IP addresses are kept with these events.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can see, correct and delete your data. Delete your account from Account settings; invoices are kept as tax law requires. For anything else, write to the grievance officer below.

Emails

Polity emails you only for your account (confirmation, password reset, receipts) and for alerts you turn on.
