Using Polity
Polity is a source-backed information service. Records are shown as published by their sources; Polity works to keep them accurate but cannot guarantee that every record is complete or current. Check the linked source before relying on a record.
Your contributions
Questions, issues and corrections you submit are moderated before they appear. Don't submit anything unlawful, abusive or that you don't have the right to share.
Paid plans
- Plans are billed in advance for each month or year. Prices are shown before tax.
- Cancel any time from your account; your plan continues to the end of the period you paid for. Payments for a period already started are not refunded except where the law requires.
- Exports and API data may be used for your own research, reporting and products, with attribution to Polity and the original source. Reselling or redistributing Polity's data as a dataset needs a data licence.
- Monthly limits (AI questions, exports, evidence packs, API requests) reset on the first of each month.
No influence
No payment or agreement changes what Polity publishes about any person, party or election.
