Questions

Is Polity free?

Yes. Every public record — leaders, elections, results, constituencies, parties and their sources — is free, with or without an account. Paid plans add research tools and higher limits.

Can a party or politician pay to change what Polity shows?

No. Payment never affects search order, visibility, rankings, election data, citizen issues or any fact. Officials who manage a profile can submit corrections and updates, which are labelled and reviewed like anyone else's.

How do trials work?

Pro has a 14-day trial with no card needed. When it ends your account returns to the free plan, and nothing you saved is deleted.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, from your account. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.

Do you issue GST invoices?

Every payment gets an invoice in your account. Add your GSTIN in the billing details to have it on the invoice.

What data can I export?

Research results and results tables: candidates, votes, vote shares, margins, offices. Each row keeps its source and verification status, and every file says where the data comes from.

Data methodology

Election results come from the Election Commission of India's statistical reports; members of Parliament from Digital Sansad; Chief Ministers and Governors are checked against the National Portal of India. Each record shows its source, when it was retrieved and whether it has been verified.
